Hoover

Hoover, Alabama is one of Birmingham’s largest and most desirable suburbs, offering a good mix of suburban convenience, upscale amenities, a diverse population and access to natural beauty. It’s conveniently located near I-65, I-459, & Highway 280.  

 

Hoover is a well-developed suburb with large residential neighborhoods, many of them master-planned communities with sidewalks, parks, and amenities. The community is family-friendly and offers an excellent public city school system. Many of the residents work in Birmingham’s business, healthcare, or tech sectors, but live in Hoover for its high quality of life.

Homes are more expensive in Hoover than some of the surrounding suburbs, but you get a lot for your money—large homes, good schools, and low crime in many neighborhoods. Hoover offers townhomes, condos and signal family homes in a variety of neighborhoods ranging from small quiet developments to large golf-course estates and gated communities. Neighborhoods like Ross Bridge, The Preserve, and Riverchase are especially popular.

There are lots of shopping options in and around Hoover including, Target, Costco, Sam’s Club, Walmart, Publix, Trader Joe’s and many more including the Riverchase Galleria, is one of the largest malls in the Southeast. Restaurant options range from large well know chains restaurants to small local favorites.

Hoover City Schools are among the best in Alabama, consistently rated high with strong academics, sports, and arts programs, making Hoover a popular option for families.

There are numerous parks and green spaces in Hoover allowing residents to enjoy an active lifestyle. A few of the of our favorites are Veterans Park, Moss Rock Preserve, and Aldridge Gardens.

The Hoover hosts the annual SEC baseball championship every year at the Hoover Met. The city also hosts other annual events like Hay Hoover & the Christmas Tree Lighting.

Hoover is also home to the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Ross Bridge.
